These innovative inserts are exclusively designed and manufactured by BIG DAISHOWA for SW boring tool applications, ensuring unmatched performance and efficiency.

The ZN negative inserts feature a unique six-edge design, doubling the number of cutting edges compared to conventional positive inserts. This significantly reduces raw material consumption, extends tool life, and lowers machining costs. By combining step cutting and balanced cutting, the inserts optimize material removal and enhance machining efficiency.

Designed specifically for ZN insert cartridges in SW boring tools, the inserts are ideal for machining general steels and cast iron, making them particularly suited for applications in the mold and die industry, as well as machining castings and large welded parts.

The SW rough boring head supports both positive and negative inserts, allowing for easy interchangeability by simply changing the cartridge. A single set of cartridges enables both step and balanced cutting by inverting the cartridge, automatically ensuring the correct height. Thanks to BIG DAISHOWA’s proprietary design, the negative insert maintains the same approach angle to the material, delivering cutting performance equal to or better than that of positive inserts. Additionally, the ZN inserts offer extended tool life, further reducing operational costs.

The SW boring head is engineered for easy setup and adjustment, providing a high material removal rate. Its rigid construction ensures a secure connection between the body and cartridge through precisely ground deep serrations, enhancing stability during machining.
